Network in HEVi

HEVinnovations aims to build a sustainable and competitive metropolitan area for the future. HEVi offers a unique environment for networking, sharing expertise, and developing new solutions in collaboration with cities, universities, research institutes, companies, and organizations. At the heart of the program are real urban challenges, open collaboration, and practical experimentation, which create a fertile ground for new innovations and business.

Within the framework of HEVinnovations, we aim to comprehensively strengthen the region’s RDI ecosystem and develop the business environment for companies—especially SMEs and startups. The goal is not just individual projects, but long-term ecosystem work that improves collaboration among stakeholders, accelerates the creation of new solutions, and supports their scaling. To achieve this as effectively as possible, HEVi aims to involve as broad and diverse a range of stakeholders as possible in its activities. In this way, we can work together to build a strong, adaptable, and internationally attractive innovation environment in the Helsinki metropolitan area.

How can I get involved?

HEVinnovations portfolio actors organize monthly open events where you can meet RDI actors in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Whether you’re interested in innovations in your own field or in activities that promote innovation in the region as a whole, you’re sure to find an event that suits you.

In connection with each funding call, we also organize open stakeholder events where you can meet potential project and development partners. If you’re interested in collaborating with the HEVi program or HEVi projects, feel free to reach out! You can find our contact information here.

On this page, you’ll find the latest networking events and articles on network collaboration. You can also fill out our stakeholder survey so we can discuss ways for you to participate in our program that are just right for you.

Stakeholder Survey

The stakeholder survey offers a flexible way to influence the direction of the HEVi program whenever it suits you best—without any time pressure or barriers to participation. Through the survey, you can highlight key challenges in the RDI environment of your field, share your specific needs, and describe how you would like to collaborate with the HEVi program. Every response will be reviewed by the HEV coordination team, and after you respond, we will contact you personally. This way, together we can find the best way for you or your organization to get involved and influence HEV’s activities.

HEVi Stakeholder Collaboration Model

The HEVInnovations coordination project aims to develop a stakeholder collaboration model that creates a new, open, and inclusive way of fostering cooperation in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The model aims to promote new ways of working and bring together different actors into a more systematic and comprehensive regional development cooperation forum, where dialogue, a shared direction, and impact are strengthened over the long term.

Below you can see a visualization of the model. Click the button below it to access a presentation explaining the model.
