Creativity x Tech x City is a multidisciplinary business event that raises awareness and showcases the innovation potential of creative expertise as part of a broader RDI (Research, Development, and Innovation) ecosystem. This cross-industry event provides cities and companies with a platform to launch challenges, seeking solutions that promote sustainable business practices and growth.
The first event was held in January, and the event series will continue later in the spring. The first event introduced four challenges, which you can explore in more detail below.
If you’re interested in learning more about the challenges, participating in their implementation, or hearing about upcoming events, feel free to contact us.
Finnish Museum of Happiness, which is planned for the center of Helsinki. The challenge will be introduced by the museum’s executive producer, Johannes Lassila.
The Finnish Happiness Experience Museum, an immersive experience planned in the heart of Helsinki, aims to answer the question: Why is Finland the happiest country in the world? The museum experience is built on three narrative paths—for children, knowledge seekers, and experience-oriented visitors—and utilizes both digital and analog methods to creatively present the factors contributing to happiness at different stages of life.
How can immersive experiences be designed to illustrate the significance of work-life balance for happiness?
Making Movies has developed a prototype for AI-assisted workflows in the film industry and is now seeking multidisciplinary collaborators to expand and refine the concept. This initiative addresses the challenges of managing vast amounts of evolving production data related to resources, logistics, costs, safety, and more.
The company’s presentation will raise critical questions for the innovation community:
YLE aims to explore how LIVE performances in the metaverse can redefine youth culture by connecting content creators, amateur performers, and audiences in entirely new ways. This challenge invites innovative ideas and solutions to make these immersive experiences possible.
As virtual worlds like Roblox continue to gain popularity among younger audiences, the metaverse offers a unique opportunity to foster creativity and community. LIVE performances—real-time, interactive events—represent an exciting new frontier in this digital space. However, turning this potential into reality requires tackling key challenges in design, accessibility, and collaboration.
Yle is challenging developers to create an Adaptive Podcasting solution. The goal is to develop an application where podcast content automatically adapts based on sensor data from the user’s phone.
The event is organized by the Digital Creative Industries & Beyond project. The project is co-funded by the European Union.
